I love a good market day! It gives me a chance to combine my passion for finding a quirky curio with an opportunity to get out and about. You never know just what kind of treasures you might be tempted to take home from these casual stall days and the Canggu Club’s Back to School Bazaar will be sure to prove successful for snagging a sweet deal. Scheduled for Sunday August 7th with a very respectable 12 noon start, this bazaar is a terrific way to ease back into the new school year and reconnect with friends for an entertaining afternoon out.
Held on the spacious lawn of the Canggu Club, there’ll be a host of stalls displaying hand made homewares, original art, chic and cheerful clothing for kids, teens and adults, leather wallets, clutches and hand crafted sandals. You might also score some sensational swimwear at unbeatable prices, beautiful beach throws and batik style waterproof totes perfect for that original gift or an afternoon by the ocean. There will even be an opportunity to purchase a luxury lounge for your pampered pooch!
Arrive early in order to bag the bargains and while you’re there, head on over to the team from the Junior Sports Academy, check out their Open Day and register the kids for this term’s sporting fixtures. Representatives from the JSA will be on hand to answer any queries you may have regarding training times, recommended age groups and explain everything you need to know about the swag of sports which will be on offer for this term. It’s also a chance to beat the crowds at Week 1 Registration and secure your kids’ spot in their favourite sports as places fill quickly once the school term starts.
2pm sees the DJ fire up the decks for some light entertainment and the kids can cool off with the foam party and the Slip n Slide from 3pm while you continue to browse the market at your leisure.There will be games and prizes galore to keep every member of the family focused on fun for the afternoon. Stay on for a laid back Sunday session once the market winds up for the day and indulge in Bistro C’s succulent Sunday Roast from 5pm along with live tunes from Funky Baba band.
Entry to the JSA Open Day and Back to School Bazaar is free for all, day passes are available for any non Canggu Club members wishing to make a day of it and add the excitement of Splash Water Park as well as use of the Fitness Centre, Tennis Centre and all Club facilities. With Starlight Movies screening from 7pm, it’s a fab way for the whole family to finish off school holidays with everyone smiling – even the dog!
