How High Can You Jump?

It’s time to take those trampoline tricks and tumble turns to a whole new level. Gymnastics coach, gold medal gymnast and trampolinist and trainer to Cirque du Soleil and Nirtro Circus, Greg Roe is returning to Bali later this month to conduct another trampoline training camp right here at Bounce Bali.

His high level of trampolining skill is almost unparalleled throughout the world and his workshops offer his unique brand of coaching to support kids to be their best. With a background in gymnastics from an early age, Roe focuses on form and technique in order to minimalise the risk of injury. He maintains the importance of building the correct skills from the outset so that students have a solid base from which they can develop their acrobatic skills, gaining even more height to their jumps and adding extra twists and turns safely.

The training weekend is scheduled over three days from Friday November 25th until Sunday November 27th inclusively. The camp will include training and coaching sessions, physiology, psychology, risks and biomechanics of acrobatics and tricks, athlete development and nutrition.

Held in the entirely safe and secure environment of Bounce Trampoline Centre, coaches and staff will help all trick progressions ensuring safety and peace of mind.

Sessions run from 9am until 5pm daily and all levels are welcome to join in the workshops. Participants have the opportunity to attend just one or all three of the days as well as a ‘sleepover’ at Bounce Bali on the Saturday evening, complete with bowling and pizza party at Strike Bowling to really get into the spirit of an athlete’s training camp! The sleepover is fully supervised by Roe and the trained team from Bounce. Kids can attend the sleepover only without having to participate in the sessions and there are meal packages available throughout the weekend for everyone to refuel and refresh. Following the camp there will be a Bounce Freestyle Competition on November 28th which is free for all camp participants (Rp200K for non campers) and an opportunity to showcase all of the new tricks and skills participants have learnt throughout their intensive training sessions!

In addition to the group workshops on offer, Greg Roe is also available for hourly private trampolining tuition classes. Running on alternate dates to the camp lessons can be booked from November 22nd -24th and again on the 28th. Private tuition is Rp1.200,000++ per hour and you can book for more than one hour at a time if you wish.

After the success of his last trampoline weekend at Bounce, this training camp is sure to be an even more popular event, especially considering the recent renovations at Bounce Bali. Following a brief closure last month for a mini overhaul, the island’s only indoor trampoline centre has reopened with even better facilities than before! Replacing the foam landing pit is a brand new air bag offering an even safer and more hygienic landing platform. Two more elite tramps have also been added in addition to an extra vertical running wall! With these new features already in place there’ll be further opportunity to test out new tricks and tumbles during the training weekend!

Trampolining is somewhat of an extreme sport. In an effort to maintain safe training practices, spaces for the camp must be limited and, based on the popularity of the previous camp, spots will fill fast. To register for camp sessions and to find out more about the additional packages available throughout the weekend, contact the team at Bounce Bali Reception or book online at: bouncebali.com Don’t forget, Canggu Club members and JSA Gymnastics and Trampolining students enjoy 20% off camp tuition fees too!
