As part of FINNS Bali’s commitment to responsible and inclusive social impact, the Outreach Program has been implemented consistently in partnership with Sole Family for more than a decade. Rooted in long-term engagement rather than one-off assistance, the program reflects a sustainable approach to care by ensuring continuous support for Sole Buddies through regular, face-to-face visits.

During October and November 2025, 10 outreach and community engagement activities were carried out across multiple regions in Bali, including Buleleng, Gianyar, Tabanan, Karangasem, Klungkung, and Denpasar. These activities involved 11 FINNS Bali staff and reached 40 individuals living with disabilities, mental health conditions, and limited access to healthcare, reaffirming FINNS Bali’s commitment to equity, inclusion, and community wellbeing.
Beyond providing essential support, the Outreach Program prioritized dignity and human connection. By taking the time to listen, engage in conversation, and be fully present, the team fostered trust and emotional security for Sole Buddies and their families. For many FINNS staff members, participating in outreach became a deeply personal experience, fostering a sense of gratitude and perspective that extended beyond professional responsibility and was often described as an invaluable life experience.

One such reflection was shared by Fetty Pratiwi following her first outreach visit in Buleleng on 6 November 2025:
“This was my first time joining the outreach program, where we visited Sole Buddies in areas with limited access to healthcare. The experience was meaningful yet heartbreaking, highlighting the uneven development in Bali and reminding me to stay grateful, grounded, and committed to contributing more.”
In December, outreach activities paused to allow for re-group meetings prior to in-depth interviews, creating space for reflection, learning, and program strengthening, including preparation for outcome harvesting to capture program results, lessons learned, and meaningful social impact.
