As a small island, Bali faces a visible plastic pollution crisis, particularly during the rainy season when ocean debris washes ashore, harming marine life and ecosystems.
That’s why, since 2022, FINNS has officially banned single-use plastics. Instead of plastic straws and cups, we’ve adopted eco-friendly paper alternatives and actively promote reusable bags and materials.
In Bali, where waste mismanagement is rampant, FINNS is tackling the issue with a bold new comprehensive waste sorting program.
At FINNS we are committed to minimizing our environmental impact by reusing wastewater and implementing energy-saving measures. All grey water from our operations is recycled and repurposed to nourish plants, reducing water waste and supporting our surroundings. Additionally, we actively encourage our staff and guests to conserve resources by raising awareness about mindful water and energy usage.
At FINNS, we are committed to making a difference, our dedicated team works tirelessly to keep the Canggu beach stretch pristine.
FINNS knows that single use plastic is the sources of many plastic pollution in Indonesia.
More than half of Bali waste is not properly managed. It ended up in the river and the ocean. Even the properly managed, 44% of it is sent to landfills.
We committed to reuse the water waste waste and take various measures to save energy. The grey water from our operation is recycled and use to water the plant.
Bali is in plastic waste crisis, especially in the sea. The local marine environment sees over 33,000 tons of plastic waste dumped into the water each year!
