FINNS Bali has partnered with the Environmental Bamboo Foundation in a green initiative to plant bamboo trees in celebration of World Water Week. This collaboration highlights the importance of sustainable development, environmental conservation, and water resource management.
The event, held at the bamboo forest agritourism site near Penebel, brought together members of the local community, local governance, and environmental activists. This event included tracking around the bamboo forest area while introducing attendants to the bamboo ecosystem, planting bamboo trees, and also sharing sessions about the water issue nowadays in Bali .
FINNS Bali’s ESG Manager, Manaf, emphasized the importance of sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship in Bali. “Our collaboration with the Environmental Bamboo Foundation underscores our commitment to protecting Bali’s water natural resources. Bamboo plays a crucial role in maintaining water systems, especially in regions vulnerable to droughts and flooding”.
This initiative aligns with the broader goals of World Water Week, which aims to address global water challenges through cooperation, innovation, and advocacy. By planting bamboo, a plant known for its water-efficient growth, FINNS Bali and the Environmental Bamboo Foundation are making a tangible contribution to the preservation of Bali’s fragile ecosystems. It not only celebrates World Water Week but also strengthens FINNS Bali’s commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental protection.
