On Monday, May 4th, 2026, the Hotel Management Program of PIB College, Tabanan, visited FINNS Bali in Canggu. Eleven students, accompanied by their lecturer Dr. Victor Bangun Mulia, B.Sc, M.B.A., participated in a half-day program designed to complement the Business Ethics in Hospitality course. The visit was developed in collaboration with ESG FINNS Bali, who coordinated a comprehensive itinerary connecting classroom theory with the day-to-day realities of running a large-scale hospitality operation, especially in the F&B sector.

The afternoon began at 3:30 PM at FINNS Headquarters, where Mr. Abdul Manaf delivered a presentation on the FINNS Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Program. Students learned how a leading beach club embeds sustainability into its core business strategy, from waste reduction targets to community engagement initiatives. This was followed by a guided tour of the on-site waste sorting facility at 4:00 PM, giving students a firsthand look at how operational sustainability is executed behind the scenes, an aspect of hospitality that is rarely visible to guests but critical to responsible tourism.
At 4:30 PM, the group moved to FINNS Beach Club, where Mr. Matthew Browning led a walking tour of the property. Students observed live service operations, the flow of guest experience design, and the energy of the late-afternoon activation as the venue transitioned into its signature sunset atmosphere. This portion of the visit directly addressed the program’s three key learning objectives: gaining exposure to beach club operations within the hospitality industry, developing a deeper understanding of service standards and operational flow, and exploring how hospitality ethics and sustainable tourism practices are integrated in a real beach club environment. The visit concluded at the Long Bar at 5:30 PM with a networking session, allowing students to reflect on the experience while engaging informally with the FINNS team.

This collaboration represents a meaningful step in strengthening the partnership between academic institutions and industry leaders in Bali’s tourism sector. For PIB College, the visit transformed abstract concepts in business ethics and sustainable tourism into tangible, observable practice, equipping students with insights that no classroom alone can provide. PIB College extends its sincere gratitude to the FINNS Bali team for their generous hospitality and commitment to nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and to opening more opportunities for our students to learn directly from industry leaders shaping the future of sustainable hospitality.
