Direct-impact charity dinner at Amalfi Restaurant funds sight-restoring surgeries for Indonesians in need
BALI, 13 May 2026, FINNS Bali, in partnership with the John Fawcett Foundation (JFF), successfully hosted the Vision for Tomorrow Charity Dinner on the evening of May 12, 2026, at Amalfi Restaurant, FINNS Beach Club. The event welcomed 107 guests who participated and contributed to the charity, raising funds that could support surgeries for 200 people from ticket sales and donations throughout the evening.
The evening began with a sunset cocktail reception featuring welcome drinks and canapés, followed by opening remarks from FINNS COO Paul Hussey and the John Fawcett Foundation team, accompanied by impact videos showcasing the work of both organisations. Guests were then guided into a one-of-a-kind blindfolded dining experience, a thought-provoking three-course meal designed to offer a glimpse into the world of those living with vision impairment. The evening continued with a moving JFF beneficiary testimonial video, before transitioning into the raffle draw, silent auction announcements, and the highlight of the night: the main live stage auction featuring exclusive items and experiences from Erika Peña, Ulaman Eco Luxury Resort, RizRizRiz, and a premium coffee machine. The event closed with live music and an afterparty at FINNS Beach Club.
Operating under a direct-impact model where each ticket sold funded one sight-restoring surgery, the elegant evening brought together philanthropists, business leaders, and members of Bali’s community for an experience that combined fine dining with meaningful humanitarian action.
Funds were raised through ticket sales and three engaging fundraising activities: a curated raffle featuring prizes from local partners, a silent auction, and a main live stage auction held during the dinner. Every rupiah raised goes directly toward JFF’s sight restoration programs.

Established in 1989, the John Fawcett Foundation is a humanitarian organisation dedicated to sight restoration and blindness prevention in Indonesia. For over three decades, JFF has provided free eye health services to individuals from lower socio-economic communities, without discrimination of religion, ethnicity, or political background. The Foundation is funded entirely through donations and partnerships.
