Tibubeneng Village, in collaboration with FINNS Bali, has launched a Balinese dance training program titled “Widyatari Bali Sewaka Jagadhita.” The program is held every Saturday at the Wantilan of Pura Perancak, Tibubeneng Village. This initiative reflects a shared commitment to preserving Balinese dance arts amid the rapid growth of tourism.
The official launch took place on February 8, 2026, at Pura Perancak, attended by representatives of Tibubeneng Village.
The dance training is open to the local community, including children and teenagers. It also welcomes public participants, both residents and visitors. Designed as an inclusive and sustainable learning platform, the program focuses on engaging the younger generation as future custodians of Bali’s cultural heritage.
Classes are conducted every Saturday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (WITA) at the Wantilan of Pura Perancak. Participants not only learn dance techniques but also gain an understanding of the values, ethics, and cultural meanings embedded in Balinese dance.
The program is led by Mr. Komang Adi Suprapta from Sanggar Witcitra, who brings over 11 years of experience in Balinese dance.
One parent expressed deep appreciation for the program, highlighting that it is free of charge and provides a positive and meaningful activity for children during their free time. Since its launch in early February, the program has already benefited 140 participants.
Arik Priani, Social Manager of FINNS Bali, expressed hope that the program will continue to run regularly and consistently deliver positive impacts to the local community.
