FINNS Bali and DLHK Badung Partner to Enhance Urban Green Corridors

Badung, Bali — [December 2025] As a tangible manifestation of its ongoing commitment to environmental preservation, FINNS Bali, in collaboration with the Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kebersihan (DLHK) of Badung Regency, successfully implemented a greening program. This initiative focused on transforming high-activity areas into beautiful and green corridors for the community.

The program took place from November to December 2025, targeted several vital points in Badung, including Jalan Dewi Sri, Jalan Raya Nusa Dua Selatan, and Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai. The program’s execution began in early November with a series of site surveys, planting distance measurements, and intensive technical coordination with the DLHK team. Throughout this initiative, a total of 90 Pule trees and 300 Paper Flowers (Bougainvillea) were planted in stages that were funded by FINNS. These specific species were strategically selected for their resilience to urban pollution, high ecological benefits, and aesthetic value.

Impact on Community and Environment

This greening initiative primarily benefits local communities and road users by improving environmental quality while supporting DLHK Badung’s goal to expand Green Open Spaces (RTH) through private sector involvement. Beyond aesthetics, the Badung Hijau dan Asri program prioritizes public health by reducing heat, filtering air pollutants, and creating a cooler, more comfortable, and less stressful environment for thousands of daily pedestrians and motorists.

This collaboration is a key part of FINNS Bali’s ESG approach, built on the belief that sustainability should leave a lasting legacy rather than be a one-off initiative. By working directly with the government to green these roads, FINNS is doing more than planting trees; it is investing in the long-term health and well-being of Badung. As the trees grow, they will become a living reminder of what shared responsibility can achieve, and a clear example of how the private sector can meaningfully support government efforts toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Bali.
