FINNS Beach Club is proud to have received a Certificate of Appreciation (Piagam Penghargaan) from the Badung Regency Government in recognition of its active role and participation in the source-based waste management program (program pengelolaan sampah berbasis sumber) across Badung Regency on May 7th, 2026. This program refers to a decentralized waste management system that prioritizes the segregation, reduction, and treatment of waste at the point of generation before it reaches landfills or central disposal sites in support of the Gerakan Bali Bersih Sampah (Bali Clean Waste Movement).
One of the standout achievements behind this recognition is FINNS’s waste-to-landfill rate of just 6%, a figure that significantly outperforms the industry average. Through a combination of organic waste processing, source separation, and a measurable reduction in single-use plastics, FINNS has demonstrated that large hospitality venues can take genuine ownership of their environmental footprint.

This milestone aligns with the broader regulatory push by the Badung Regency Government, which now requires all Hotel, Restaurant, and Café (Horeka) businesses to manage organic waste independently on-site and report verified waste data with strict enforcement and sanctions for non-compliance.
Looking ahead, FINNS has set its sights on an ambitious but clear goal: achieving less than 5% waste to landfill. Building on the systems and practices already in place, the team will continue to strengthen on-site waste processing, explore new partnerships, and push further towards a future where FINNS’s operational waste will be processed and recycled instead of landfilled, setting a new standard for sustainability in Bali’s hospitality industry.
